Safety Director

The Safety Director plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of all workers in the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections and audits, providing safety training, and analyzing safety data. The Safety Director provides leadership and direction to a team of safety members and collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the industrial manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies for creating, sustaining, and evolving a safety culture that aligns with company policies and goals.
• Provide strategic direction, supervision, and guidance to ensure alignment with company policies and goals that drive to a zero-incident culture.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to educate manufacturing workers and management on safety best practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Establish and maintain safety records and documentation, including accident reports, safety training records, and safety inspection reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, developing strategies to address safety issues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor safety performance and provide feedback to management, ensuring that safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Proven experience in safety management, with a strong background in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and direction to a team of safety members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
