About the Role

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a skilled Inspector to join our team in the aerospace industry. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of precision and quality in our bearing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect Products: Use gauges and basic hand tools to inspect products and ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Test Raw Materials: Test incoming raw materials to ensure they meet our quality requirements.
  • Perform Quality Assessments: Conduct regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
  • Reject Defective Products: Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read Blueprints and Specifications: Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Measure Product Dimensions: Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Recommend Process Improvements: Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document Inspection Outcomes: Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Identify Quality Issues: Identify quality issues and report them to the quality control team.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: 0-3 years performing inspection of assemblies (e.g. routine process inspections).
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office, good math and technical skills, strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques, strong written and oral communication skills, practical experience in precision inspection equipment and calibration, knowledge in aerospace materials.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas.
  • Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud.
Additional Requirements
  • ITAR and EAR Compliance: This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.
