Job Summary

ALL METALS PROCESSING OF ORANGE COUNTY LLC is seeking a skilled Grinder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for operating precision cylindrical machines to grind metal parts according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grinding Operations: Grind metal parts to precise dimensions using precision cylindrical machines, adhering to customer specifications and established performance standards.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality workmanship through the use of precision measuring instruments, enter data into the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system, and refer to technical sheets, blueprints, or purchase orders to ensure parts are ground to correct specified dimensions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor equipment maintenance with the guidance of the Lead Grinder, Machinist, or Sr. Specialist, and make adjustments to equipment and set-ups as needed.
  • Communication: Communicate deviations to the department manager and work towards increased performance.
  • Adherence to Safety Regulations: Adhere to safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Math and Reading Skills: Basic math skills and English reading skills.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tech sheets, and purchase orders.
  • Measuring Equipment: Ability to use precision measuring/inspection equipment such as micrometers and height gauges.
  • Grinding Experience: Full knowledge and experience working with grind machines (i.e., Cincinnati Centerless Grinder, CNC Studer grinder).
  • Aerospace Industry Experience: Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • ITAR Requirement: Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
