Position Overview

Company Overview:
Marymount University is committed to fostering a diverse educational environment and is currently seeking qualified individuals to join our team as adjunct clinical nursing instructors within the Malek School of Nursing.

About the Role:
The Malek School of Nursing is looking to establish a pool of qualified candidates to teach Clinical Nursing Courses at various clinical sites. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional learning experience for our students in the ABSN program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a cohort of 5-8 ABSN students in a clinical environment.
  • Clinical engagement typically spans 8-10 hours per day.
  • Foster a supportive educational atmosphere that facilitates the achievement of clinical objectives.
  • Exhibit professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all clinical interactions.
  • Encourage the application of evidence-based practices.
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' written assignments as required.
  • Conduct at least one virtual office hour weekly to support student learning.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in Virginia, DC, or Maryland.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred (must be from an accredited institution).
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant subject area.
  • Access to reliable transportation for clinical site visits.
