Job Summary

LaborOne Staffing is seeking skilled Welders for the Ingleside, TX area. As a Welder, you will be responsible for building and repairing large structures and platforms using Flux core.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical documents and drawings to determine the appropriate welding equipment or method.
  • Set up components of welding according to specifications and operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces in place.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Verify your work to discover flaws and maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety and skills.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures, including FCAW and STICK.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and PPE.
  • Experience using cutting tools and ability to measure and cut materials.
  • Pass 6GR Test.
  • Ability to work in heights and confined spaces.
Welding Test Requirements
  • 6" Pipe Sch. 120, (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW)
  • 6" Pipe Sch. XX, (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW)
  • Open root 1/8 in, root face 1/16in (single-bevel)
  • Gas: 75%ar-25%Co2
  • Must pass Physical and UA.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in welding, preferably in a shipyard or similar environment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Pass 6GR Test.
