Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Liaison: Facilitate communication between patients, physicians, and staff to ensure timely and effective care.
- Assist with Access to Services: Help patients navigate our healthcare system, providing guidance and support to access necessary services.
- Facilitate Referrals: Coordinate referrals to appropriate resources, ensuring patients receive the care they need.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, and staff, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
Requirements
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively with others, building productive relationships with staff, physicians, and patients.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Show a high level of adaptability and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Healthcare Systems: Possess a working knowledge of healthcare systems, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Specialty Practice: Familiarity with specific specialty practices and workflows, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
- Working Knowledge of Policies and Procedures: Possess a thorough understanding of patient-related policies and procedures, as well as a working knowledge of the University system and its services.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hospital computer systems, personal computer systems, and software products used in administrative work.
