Position Summary:
This role is contingent upon the award of a contract. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will report directly to the Program Manager and will receive clinical supervision from the site medical director. The CRNA will work under the guidance of a Physician, Surgeon, or Anesthetist.

The CRNA's primary responsibility is to administer anesthetics to patients undergoing various medical, dental, and surgical procedures. Key duties include preparing necessary supplies and equipment, analyzing pre-surgical tests to assess anesthetic impact, and ensuring adequate blood supply for emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations, including physical assessments and patient interviews.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for anesthetic administration to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Select and prescribe post-anesthesia medications and treatments.
  • Administer medications or fluids post-anesthesia to support cardiovascular function.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' responses post-surgery or anesthesia, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage patients' airway and pulmonary status using various techniques, including intubation and mechanical ventilation.
  • Prepare and utilize equipment and supplies for anesthetic administration, ensuring proper calibration and testing.
  • Instruct staff on anesthetic techniques and emergency protocols.
  • Participate in Mass Casualty Exercises and other relevant training.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Fluency in English for effective communication.
  • US Department of State clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Willingness to relocate as required.
  • A valid passport is mandatory and must be maintained throughout the assignment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in military settings or as a government contractor.
  • Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is advantageous.

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing program leading to a diploma, certification, or degree.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program in the US.
  • Current unrestricted U.S. (State) Medical license as a Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
