The facility includes a hospital, dental clinic, and veterinary clinic, catering to a diverse population including military personnel and their families. The location offers a variety of recreational activities and amenities for residents.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a vital role in administering anesthesia for both medical and dental surgical patients. The primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations, including patient interviews and physical assessments.
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for the safe administration of anesthetics.
- Preparing and calibrating necessary equipment and supplies for anesthesia delivery.
- Administering post-anesthesia medications and monitoring patient recovery.
- Evaluating patient responses and managing any complications that arise.
- Educating healthcare staff on anesthetic techniques and emergency protocols.
- Participating in quality management initiatives and safety exercises.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Nurse Anesthetist.
- Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted US state license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Proficiency in various anesthesia administration techniques, including epidurals.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are preferred.
This position is unaccompanied, and candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents. A valid passport is required, and the ability to obtain a US DOD CNACI is necessary. Physical requirements include the ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
Compensation: Competitive day rate based on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
