Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Project Specialist to join our team at Synergy Equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks for our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Equipment Issues
    • Identify and resolve technical problems with heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance and Repairs
    • Conduct regular equipment clean-up and upkeep, as well as safety reviews and pre-delivery inspections.
    • Inspect, diagnose, repair, recondition, and adjust heavy equipment as required, completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Participate in Training and Development
    • Engage in ongoing training programs directed by our Service Manager, staying up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance
    • Maintain tools in good working order, adhering to MSHA and OSHA regulations.
    • Report any shop tools, equipment, or vehicles that are not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use.
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Collaborate with coworkers and customers to ensure top-quality equipment is always available and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage Workflows and Schedules
    • Tie workflow to schedule, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Produce Service Reports
    • Deliver timely and detailed service reports, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Operate Vehicles Safely
    • Drive company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing field automation systems as needed.
  • Follow Company Procedures
    • Adhere to all company field procedures and protocols, ensuring consistency and quality in our operations.
  • Collaborate with Technical Teams
    • Work closely with technical teams to share information and best practices, driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
    • Comprehend customer requirements and make informed recommendations, building strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Exhibit Strong Teamwork
    • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
    • Proven field service experience, with a strong track record of troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.
    • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a jobsite environment for extended periods, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching.
  • Additional Eligibility Requirements
    • Pass a drug test and background check before starting employment.
