Position Overview:

The Global Fund Finance division at Blackstone is in search of a Fund Accounting Manager to support our expanding business operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and verify monthly estimates and final Fund Net Asset Values (NAVs), and analyze NAV reconciliations with multiple third-party administrators and custodians.
  • Review and reconcile the computation of management and performance fees.
  • Examine and reconcile client capital statements produced by third-party administrators.
  • Assess and reconcile fund foreign currency exposure and manage hedging strategies.
  • Assist and coordinate with team members in addressing client inquiries.
  • Review tailored client reports, including the calculation of time-weighted returns and Internal Rates of Return (IRRs).
  • Oversee monthly revenue reporting and assist in the evaluation of projections.
  • Support the establishment and launch of new products and funds.
  • Review cash flow analysis reports to facilitate the investment process.
  • Examine capital call and distribution calculations and review investor notifications.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams in NAV production.
  • Work alongside Operations teams, including Middle Office, Pricing, Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Legal and Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Process investor payments efficiently.
  • Leverage technology and outsourced solutions to improve efficiencies and controls.
  • Supervise service providers to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Manage expense budgeting, hedging, cash reconciliation, specific client reporting functions, and fund structuring and restructuring.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams to accurately present data in audited financial statements and regulatory submissions.
  • Review legal documents for considerations related to fund accounting processes.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to recruit individuals who are highly motivated, proactive, intelligent, and have a proven track record of excellence in their previous roles.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in fund accounting, auditing, or administration, or 6+ years in public or private accounting.
  • Experience in private equity, hedge funds, or auditing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SEC and relevant regulatory filings for investment funds is advantageous.
  • CPA certification is preferred, along with audit experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize time.
  • A collaborative team player, always ready to support colleagues.

Compensation:

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $185,000. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.

For positions located outside of the United States, please disregard the posted salary bands, as these roles will adhere to a separate compensation process based on local market standards.


Additional Compensation:

The base salary does not encompass other forms of compensation or benefits associated with the advertised role.
