We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Financial Representative Trainee to join our team at Mutual of Omaha. As a key member of our sales team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in selling Individual Insurance products.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes an hourly wage of $16/hour for up to 30 days, with opportunities for career advancement and a salary range of $36,000 per year. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

About the Role: As a Financial Representative Trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive program designed to equip you with the skills and competencies necessary to excel in selling Individual Insurance products. This dynamic program includes a combination of self-study and hands-on-experience projects, all tailored to a structured curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and their features and benefits
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with clients and internal business partners
  • Contribute to classroom discussions, goal setting sessions, and progress evaluation meetings
  • Pursue relevant insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job
  • Pass a sales process competency test
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal business partners

Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully achieve criteria of Trainee Program
  • Ability to pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products and marketing practices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required
