About the Role

Medtronic is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team in the Cardiac Rhythm Management department. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical, educational, and operational support to assist the district in meeting sales and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales representatives
  • Assist with educational and training programs for physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff
  • Support operational activities, including inventory management and software maintenance
  • Participate in sales support activities, including market research and customer needs assessment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of work experience in healthcare, field sales, or a related field
  • Associate degree, plus 2 years of work experience in healthcare, field sales, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, life sciences, or biomedical engineering
  • Cath lab, EP lab, hospital, or clinic experience
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in numerous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position
  • Expertise with Microsoft tools and other business applications
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements
  • IBHRE certification (below Principal level)
Physical Job Requirements
  • Frequent travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings
  • Continuous verbal and written communication
  • Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level
  • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day
  • Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation
  • Ability to wear 7-9 lbs of lead for extended periods of time while in the O.R.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard, and mouse
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and balance
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in relation to travel and operating a personal computer
  • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy

  • Minimum travel of 10%
