Director of Cardiac Services Job Description

M3 Placement & Partnership is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cardiac Services to lead our client's comprehensive healthcare organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational plans to support the vision of the Cardiac Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and managerial oversight for Cardiac Services operations, including diagnostic services, inpatient services, and the cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Collaborate with hospital and physician leadership to expand and improve adult and pediatric cardiac services.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective processes to support state-of-the-art services for Cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
  • Monitor and provide metrics to manage and grow inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Services.
  • Conduct steering committee meetings to define and apply evidence-based protocols.
  • Provide oversight and leadership in QA.
  • Develop a clinical and financial dashboard to ensure rigorous tracking of Cardiac Services outcomes in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with directors and medical service line leadership in the development of the service line budget.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive cardiac program.
  • Provide strategic leadership and managerial oversight for Cardiac Services leadership staff.
  • Assist in marketing, promotion, and defining a robust regional outreach strategy for the Cardiac Services.
  • Research and stay current with IT and technology solutions that differentiate Cardiac services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of prior healthcare management/leadership experience in a clinical setting, with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Preferred: Master's in healthcare-related or business field completed or in progress.
  • Preferred: Five (5) years or more of management/leadership experience in inpatient/outpatient Cardiac Services, and strategic planning and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Solid financial, clinical, and analytical skills.
  • Proven interaction ability with physician providers and clinical/non-clinical employees.
