Job Overview

Fluidra North America is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in upholding quality benchmarks by meticulously evaluating, analyzing, and determining the status of incoming and in-process materials, particularly those associated with customer returns and internally rejected items. This role involves maintaining comprehensive quality records in accordance with company protocols.

This individual will collaborate closely with material handlers and various departments, including Receiving, Production Planning, and Inventory Control, to ensure the precise handling and movement of non-conforming materials. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular quality and safety audits.
  • Performing inspections to ensure compliance with specifications using technical documents and prior knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Executing in-process and final inspections during maintenance activities to confirm adherence to specified requirements.
  • Interpreting acceptance and rejection criteria to identify discrepancies and non-conformances.
  • Training personnel on quality control inspection techniques and documentation processes.
  • Developing and reviewing inspection procedures to meet quality objectives.
  • Conducting observations and submitting reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitoring industry standards and maintaining communication with relevant personnel.
  • Carrying out additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control inspection or a related field.
  • Experience in managing MRB and RMA processes, including product analysis and segregation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools.
  • Good arithmetic skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
