Overview

Sargent Aerospace & Defense is seeking a highly skilled Inspector III to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of materials, processes, and products to ensure conformance to Sargent Aerospace & Defense's quality standards.
• Process Development: Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective quality control.
• Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to less experienced inspectors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Supplier Management: Conduct supplier source inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, testing, and quality control activities.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated mechanical inspection background.
• Skills: Advanced measurement skills using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, and optical comparators; proficiency in CMMs and vision systems; ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience: 8 years of quality assurance experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
