Position: Permanent Preconstruction Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Permanent Preconstruction Manager to become a vital part of our team. This position demands a strong background in commercial construction estimation and preconstruction oversight. The successful candidate will manage all preconstruction tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and strategic planning for construction projects. Establishing and nurturing relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently oversee and manage all preconstruction phases of projects.
  • Develop precise and comprehensive budgets and estimates.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure objectives are met.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
  • Review cost estimates for thoroughness and precision.
  • Engage in contract negotiations and award processes.
  • Stay informed on construction market trends and pricing dynamics.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and cultivate a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in commercial construction, particularly with K1 and higher education projects.
  • Demonstrated success in preconstruction management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with construction market trends.
  • Leadership abilities and proficiency in construction software.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
