Technical Sales Specialist
Job Overview:
Arrow ECS is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Specialist to connect with clients across our regional markets to stimulate interest in our suppliers' offerings.
Arrow ECS, a leader in electronic component distribution, provides design engineers with extensive technical knowledge and localized global design assistance for cutting-edge products from the foremost suppliers in RF, Wireless, IoT, and Power Technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture influential relationships with clients, suppliers, and Arrow ECS partners, generating demand for Arrow ECS products by proactively presenting engineering and supply chain solutions.
- Core responsibilities include: Demand generation and relationship management focused on the technical requirements of complex, emerging, or underrepresented prospects.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of all Arrow ECS solutions and effectively align those solutions with client business needs.
- Drive and create new opportunities and product selections within assigned accounts, and generate demand activities utilizing additional technical resources as necessary.
- Foster supplier and customer engineering relationships at various organizational levels.
- Leverage distribution/rep/supplier expertise to enhance market share and sales.
- Develop strong partnerships with suppliers and their representatives.
- Account Management: Schedule and conduct regular visits to client facilities to promote Arrow ECS's franchised lines and services.
- Identify selling opportunities through a structured discovery process and strategic planning.
- Gain a thorough understanding of client needs and translate those needs into Arrow ECS's offerings or opportunities.
- Implement solution selling through a solid understanding of Arrow ECS's supply chain solutions and design methodologies.
- Enhance profitability and maximize margins by offering value-added, long-term solutions, with a focus on demand generation and engineering.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on product knowledge and pursue technical certifications.
- Participate in supplier training events to remain informed about product lines.
- Maintain supplier databases and ensure accuracy in design registration information.
- Keep abreast of current technologies relevant to the client base and attend training as necessary.
- Guide others in resolving complex issues within specialized areas based on established solutions and procedures.
- Act as an expert within the discipline.
- Serve as a resource for best practices and quality on functional teams or projects.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the territory in which you will operate.
- Working knowledge of the industry is essential.
- A strong drive for success is crucial.
- Experience in Semiconductor Sales.
- Background in Distribution Representation.
- Experience as a Manufacturer's Representative.
- Experience as an OEM Representative.
- Fully Remote: Must be available to travel to an Arrow ECS office location as requested by management.

$122,000 - $190,146.70
Actual compensation offered may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base salary and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
