Key Responsibilities

The HVAC Service Sales Representative plays a vital role in enhancing the growth and profitability of our HVAC Service division. The selected individual will be tasked with initiating and nurturing profitable service relationships with new clients. The primary focus will be on promoting renewable maintenance agreements as the cornerstone of these relationships. This role involves working within a designated geographic area, collaborating with local branch teams, and leveraging sales tools to document progress and identify new business opportunities.

Execution Strategy

Utilizes a structured and professional approach to identify, target, and qualify potential new clients; effectively networks to discover new leads and contacts.

Engages with prospective clients to arrange meetings and builds a referral network to identify additional customers.

Conducts sales meetings aimed at uncovering key issues and dissatisfaction faced by Facility Directors in managing heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.

Creates a sense of urgency to address client needs and positions Johnson Controls as the preferred provider. Proposes tailored solutions that leverage local branch service capabilities, emphasizing renewable maintenance agreements and innovative digital service offerings.

Finalizes proposals with clients and secures their commitment to Johnson Controls' solutions.

Facilitates customer kick-off meetings, addresses client concerns, identifies additional opportunities, maintains service agreements, and supports the billing process.

Keeps management updated on progress and account status using company tools and knows when to seek assistance to maintain momentum in the sales process.

Develops and executes territory marketing strategies aligned with Johnson Controls' business objectives. Participates in trade shows and engages with professional organizations.

Represents Johnson Controls with professionalism, adhering to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and performance.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 2-3 years of experience in progressive sales roles

Desirable:

  • Strong technical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to engage both individuals and groups.
  • Experience in selling services and intangible products
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and best practices
  • Bonus Qualifications include:
  • Knowledge of Building HVAC Systems
  • Relevant experience in the field
  • Post-secondary education
