Position Overview:

An esteemed organization is seeking a Manager of Biomedical Operations to enhance their team. This role involves overseeing a diverse group of up to 10 professionals in various support capacities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver proactive technical direction and equipment assistance across multiple facilities, requiring quarterly travel.
  • Ensure that team members maintain responsive and professional management of laboratory equipment, quality systems, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
  • Identify and support growth initiatives that align with the strategic business objectives of the organization.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively engaging with internal and external stakeholders to address concerns and enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with equipment vendors and service providers, establishing service standards and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Facilitate training for staff on new instruments and procedures.
  • Oversee emergency and planned shutdowns, as well as manage departmental schedules, preventive maintenance, service requests, and daily operations.
  • Review reports to ensure timely completion of work orders and develop/revise standard operating procedures, training materials, and validation plans.
  • Participate in audits and act as a liaison for the department, providing guidance on process variability and equipment reliability issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality inspection requirements.

Compensation:
This is a permanent position with a salary range of $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in applied science.
  • Experience in industry management, particularly in laboratory or biomedical operations.
  • Experience in regulated environments, such as clean rooms or aseptic settings.
  • Willingness to travel to all facilities once per quarter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES).
  • Certified Biomedical Engineering Technician (CBET).
