Job Type: Full-time

Overview:
Our Emergency Response Coordinator I will oversee command and control operations for fire, security, and emergency services, as well as provide logistical and administrative support functions to ensure the safety and security of Texas Biomedical Research Institute.

This entry-level role functions as a tactical operator, managing the daily deployment of responders to various emergency and non-emergency situations. The position also facilitates emergency communications to staff through multiple channels, ensuring personal safety and security while supporting facility and laboratory operations.

Work Schedule:
These positions require availability for 24/7 rotating and variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Hourly, non-managerial role
  • Call handling and dispatching
  • Management of records
  • Monitoring facilities infrastructure and electronic security systems, including alarm responses

Additionally, the role includes oversight of the visitor management system and key control.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Educational background in emergency management and communications; certification is preferred
  • Associate's degree in Emergency Management or a related field is preferred

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Windows or Apple operating systems, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
