Position Overview

MetaPhase Consulting is currently seeking an Intelligence Research Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience to support critical operations within the US Marshals Service (USMS) Judicial Security Division (JSD). This division plays a vital role in safeguarding the judicial process by ensuring the secure conduct of judicial proceedings and protecting federal judges, jurors, and other members of the judiciary. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to serving the United States Marshals Service.

The selected candidate will assist USMS management and staff in various office activities and operations as needed. Responsibilities include assessing threats, incidents, and inappropriate communications, conducting research, collecting information, screening intelligence reports, and summarizing evaluated and unevaluated data. The individual will analyze intelligence to determine potential threats to protected individuals or assets, develop actionable intelligence, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. Additionally, the role involves disseminating threat information to relevant agencies as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in intelligence or a related field, preferably within law enforcement or the intelligence community.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review, consolidate, analyze, and evaluate intelligence reports related to mission objectives.
  • Assess threats and incidents impacting USMS protectees or facilities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate threats and recommend countermeasures.
  • Validate and discuss intelligence research findings.
  • Prepare descriptive and speculative intelligence reports.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on complex issues.
  • Plan and execute research projects, briefing agency personnel on progress.
  • Collaborate with junior intelligence professionals on research and liaison tasks.
  • Develop methodologies, guides, and policies for addressing challenges as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations for various audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security and conduct regulations.
Work Environment

This position requires in-person engagement at client sites.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel within the continental United States as required for USMS responsibilities.

Education and Clearance

A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with 5 years of relevant work experience. An equivalent of four years of experience may substitute for a higher degree.

Must meet USMS facility clearance requirements, including Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation

Compensation is determined based on individual qualifications and experience. The estimated salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $102,000.
