Job Overview:

The Asset Management Coordinator II position is essential for maintaining the integrity of inventory systems within the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. Under the guidance of the Asset Manager, this role involves performing moderately complex inventory tasks.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate accounting records for both leased and state-owned properties, overseeing inventory control records, and executing tasks related to the agency's tagging system.

This position also entails managing warehouse operations concerning the storage and processing of assets. The Coordinator will lead inventory teams, conduct physical inventories, audit results, and resolve discrepancies in asset records. Additionally, the role involves preparing and auditing documentation for asset transfers and disposals, ensuring that property tracking systems are current and accurate. A critical part of the job is to maintain an up-to-date inventory record of all assets, including surplus, obsolete, or damaged items. The Coordinator will also coordinate the disposition of surplus property and generate reports reflecting inventory status. Training agency staff on asset management policies, procedures, and inventory systems is a vital function of this role. Investigating lost, stolen, or damaged property items is also part of the responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regularly attend work in accordance with agency policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
