Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Supervisor I to join our team at the City of Austin. This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our inventory management system, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting, and providing exceptional support to our departmental staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to departmental staff on inventory management procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
