Position Summary:
IEc is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This role will provide essential support to the Accounting Services Manager and collaborate closely with senior staff and Contracts personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll and Time Accounting: Manage full-custom payroll tasks including the collection, review, and entry of timesheets into the Deltek accounting system; ensure accurate posting of labor and payroll data; maintain payroll information for approximately 170 employees through the ADP payroll system; and verify consistency between ADP reports and Deltek outputs.
  • Accounts Payable and Expense Management: Process vendor and subcontractor invoices along with employee expense forms; accurately post these transactions in the Deltek accounting system and prepare checks for disbursement.
  • Invoicing and Accounts Receivable: Prepare draft and final trial billings; generate prime invoices as required; accurately record invoices in the Accounts Receivables Journal of Deltek; manage revenue adjustments; and handle cash deposits and receipts.
  • Month-End Closing: Create and post month-end journal entries; reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Additional Support Functions: Maintain organized accounting files; generate monthly accounting reports; monitor cash balances; prepare cash flow analyses; and assist in the preparation of schedules for external accountants' review.
  • Assist the Accounting Services Manager with special projects and perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Resource Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting role, including internships.
  • Prior experience in a professional office environment.
  • Payroll experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
