Clinical Support Specialist

The Clinic Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our clinic. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including receptionist and billing duties, patient coordination, and maintaining confidentiality of patient files.
Key Responsibilities- Perform departmental clerical and receptionist functions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate messages to others in a clear and concise manner.
- Answer telephones in a courteous and professional manner.
- Greet and screen visitors, and assist in meeting requests for information.
- Prepare and send correspondence, including letters and emails.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Process and prepare patient billing and insurance claims.
- Assist with preparing and sending monthly statements.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a two-year medical billing/coding program preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health record software required.
- Previous experience working in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- American Heart Association Provider CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Formal training in crisis prevention and intervention required within 60 days of hire.
