Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review medical records for conflicting, incomplete, or non-specific documentation by providers
  • Identify clinical indicators to ensure diagnosis and procedures are clinically supported
  • Ensure each treated diagnosis is documented in the medical record to the appropriate specificity in collaboration with providers, and coders aimed at ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant medical records which reflect the severity and complexity of a patient's illness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or equivalent Allied Healthcare field
  • 2+ Critical Care Experience in the ED or ICU, or 5 years Med/Surge in-patient nursing experience within the last 8 years
