About the Role

New Relic is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HRBP team, you will act as an advisor to our employees and front-line managers on all HR-related topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Support: Provide primary HR support for G&A and Marketing Relics and front-line managers in key HR lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, training & development, policy & process design/implementation, compliance, and other ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Performance Management: Advise managers and employees on all aspects of the performance management process, both informal and formal. Analyze performance issues and provide guidance to the business on the appropriate solutions while taking into account internal policies as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Conduct investigations as a lead and/or support. Resolve and address employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances. Ensure internal database is kept up to date with all investigations and outcomes logged in a timely manner.
  • Partnership with our People Team functions: Advise on job leveling, role descriptions, offers, and participate in interview panels when required. Help to address and resolve open inquiries (tickets) initiated by employees and managers that require HRBP team input to close. Topics can be related to compensation, benefits, leaves, HRIS changes, etc.
  • Business Engagement: Make it a priority to lean in and understand the goals and strategies of the business so that they factor into our support and outcomes. Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives. Analyze data and trends to recommend, develop, and deliver on plans to improve employee experiences, including attrition, engagement, DEI, retention, and performance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years as an HR generalist or other relevant HR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
  • Must have prior performance management and ER experience.
  • Experience coaching, influencing, and building rapport with front-line managers and employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience analyzing data, diagnosing issues, and making business recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to demonstrate the use of good judgment when making decisions on recommended outcomes.
  • Commitment to time management, with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, able to multitask, prioritize, and execute independently.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, able to pivot quickly.
  • Operates with a growth mindset.
  • Able to operate successfully with loosely defined processes and framework.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, business, or a related area.
  • HR experience within a global SaaS organization.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification.
  • Experience using G-Suite, Workday, Culture Amp, Eqtble a plus.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, highly matrixed organization, across multiple time zones.
