Job Description

Bridger Photonics Inc is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the distribution market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a market penetration strategy tailored to the distribution market, identifying aligned customers, and positioning Bridger Photonics as a trusted partner for emissions management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a market penetration strategy to effectively reach and engage gas utilities, positioning Bridger Photonics as a go-to provider for advanced gas leak detection solutions.
  • Leverage your comprehensive understanding of leak detection workflows within gas utilities to guide the use of Bridger Photonics' technologies and help customers reduce risk and manage emissions.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Development teams to create distribution-specific products and enhancements, ensuring that Bridger Photonics' offerings align with the evolving needs of the distribution market.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key players in the distribution industry, collaborating with partners to enhance product offerings, expand market reach, and drive adoption of Bridger Photonics' solutions.
  • Develop and articulate the value proposition of Gas Mapping Lidar, utilizing your understanding of the unique needs and challenges of gas utilities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives targeting the distribution market, creating compelling marketing materials and promoting Bridger Photonics as a thought leader in the distribution gas leak detection space.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to gas leak detection in the distribution market, acting as a subject matter expert within the organization and providing insights and guidance on market dynamics and competitive landscape.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, with a strong business background (MBA preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of leak detection workflows and processes within gas utilities, including an understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders within client organizations and to interact with multiple levels and functions, including R&D, ESG, and Operations, from mid to executive level management.
  • Strong network and existing relationships within the distribution and gas utility industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team of internal and external scientists, engineers, executives, and support staff.
  • Passion for technology and innovation in the gas leak detection space within the distribution market.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of combined technical sales, product management, business development, and other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within the distribution sector, with a focus on gas utilities and leak detection solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful market penetration strategies, targeting specific industries or market segments.
  • Experience in product development collaboration, working closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D and engineering.
  • Experience selling and/or delivering data products.
