Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Vierra Communities is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Vierra Falls Church, a family-owned and operated Nursing and Rehabilitation facility.

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to provide exceptional nutritional care to our residents and patients. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the nutritional status of our residents, developing and implementing personalized nutrition plans, and educating staff and residents on nutritional concepts and diet modification.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor residents' nutritional status and provide recommendations to clinical/medical staff
  • Develop and update nutritional care plans as needed
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional concepts and diet modification
  • Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure modified texture or therapeutic diets are in compliance with residents' medical conditions
  • Review menu changes to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines
  • Conduct audits of relevant nutritional care on a routine basis
  • Complete nutritional assessments on residents on admission, readmission, quarterly, annually, and with any change in condition as per guidelines
  • Participate in inspection surveys to ensure compliance with nutritional and dietary policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Registered dietitian with the American Dietetic Association
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in Nutrition/Dietetics as required by the applicable state
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and compassionate
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals
