The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is on the lookout for a dynamic AI/ML MLOps Manager to oversee our enterprise Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence platforms.
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development and management of the AI Factory Platform and its applications across centrally managed clusters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct a team to construct and expand MLOps systems that empower LM's AI/ML platforms.
- Incorporate machine learning libraries and operational frameworks into a cohesive end-to-end environment.
- Collaborate with AI/ML professionals to tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions.
- Oversee the development and management of AI Factory's central clusters.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in engineering projects with a track record of successful outcomes in infrastructure-heavy programs.
- Proven experience in leading virtual teams.
- Proficiency in Programming and Scripting languages, including C++, Java, Python, Go, and Bash.
- Familiarity with Container technologies, such as Open Container Initiative (OCI) and Docker.
- Experience with Pipeline Automation tools, including ArgoCD, Tekton, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Collaboration Tools like Slack, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Experience with Package Management tools, such as Helm and Kustomize.
- Understanding of DevSecOps and Cloud Native software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with common machine learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, Torch, and Sci-kit.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning Architectures, including GPU Computing and High Performance Computing (HPC).
- Understanding of ML/AI orchestration tools, such as Kubeflow, Flyte, and MLflow.
- Knowledge of Monitoring and Performance tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Sysdig.
- Familiarity with public cloud services, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative and resourceful problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and improvement.
- Capability to engage with internal stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize tasks, and manage the engineering backlog.
