GENERAL OVERVIEW
Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify a vibrant, top-tier service and sales environment within the branch and the credit union.
- Guide, nurture, and develop front-line personnel.
- Maintain a robust sales culture throughout the credit union.
- Support the Branch Manager and Senior Management in daily operations.
Essential Qualifications: Enthusiastic and passionate; possess exceptional service and leadership capabilities; comprehensive knowledge of FirstCCU products and services; proficient lending and underwriting expertise.
CRUCIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Embody the First Community Credit Union Mission, Vision, and Values within the organization and the community.
- Provide direction to teller staff to enhance their performance, foster their growth, and achieve the credit union's objectives.
- Assist in branch services and operations as necessary to cater to our members, including providing teller support when required.
- Instill a dynamic, world-class service and sales ethos that continuously seeks to enhance member service.
- Forge strong connections with both new and existing members that lead to sales, cross-sales, and referrals. Identify member needs and align products and services to help them achieve their financial aspirations and those of the credit union.
- Engage in proactive outreach to promote a sales culture within the credit union. Mentor and inspire front-line staff.
- Assist the Branch Manager or Senior Management in daily operations.
- Adhere to established FirstCCU lending policies and underwriting standards.
- Facilitate the opening of new accounts, including share draft accounts, certificates, individual retirement accounts, and various club accounts.
- Provide guidance to members regarding loan issues; modifications in payment terms; repayment schedules and collateral release.
- Advise members on loan purpose, amount, and payment conditions.
- Process loan applications and recommend actions to Senior Lending staff for the handling of other loan applications.
- Obtain credit assessments as necessary.
- Finalize and process loan requests, gather information on collateral, and ensure signatures and witnesses on documents are secured and verified.
- Review and update member record files, including credit assessments, and verify the accuracy of loan screens and documents.
- Check collateral insurance records on loans and request insurance coverage from members as needed.
- Notify vendors to establish the credit union's security interest on titled documents and request the discharge of security interest from holders as required.
- Disburse checks for approved loans.
- Document information in member files regarding approved or declined loan applications, extension agreements, release of security, and deferred payments.
20. Respond to telephone inquiries regarding loan information and the credit union's products and services.
21. Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations.
22. Contribute to promoting a positive image of the credit union during non-working hours.
23. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary to meet the credit union's goals and objectives.

- Intermediate knowledge of credit union products, services, loan policies, and procedures.
- Strong sales and sales coaching capabilities.
- Understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to credit union operations management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.
- Willingness to attend special off-site sales events and credit union functions as needed.
- Outgoing personality, capable of soliciting new business and making outbound calls.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and follow directions.
- Able to work independently.
- Detail-oriented.
- Willingness to make underwriting decisions.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma is required for this position. Additionally, this role requires the individual to become a notary.
Employees must adhere to government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and The USA Patriot Act.
