GENERAL OVERVIEW

  4. Support the Branch Manager and Senior Management in daily operations.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Embody the First Community Credit Union Mission, Vision, and Values within the organization and our communities.
  2. Provide guidance to teller staff to enhance their performance, facilitate their growth, and achieve the credit union's objectives.
  3. Assist in branch services and operations as necessary to serve our members, including providing teller support when required.
  4. Foster an energetic, world-class service and sales culture that consistently seeks to enhance member service.
  5. Develop strong relationships with both new and existing members that lead to sales, cross-sales, and referrals. Identify member needs and align products and services to help them achieve their financial objectives.
  6. Engage in proactive outreach to promote a sales culture within the credit union. Mentor and inspire front-line staff.
  7. Support the Branch Manager or Senior Management in daily operations.
  8. Adhere to established FirstCCU lending policies and underwriting standards.
  9. Facilitate the opening of new accounts, including checking accounts, certificates, retirement accounts, and various club accounts.
  10. Advise members on loan issues; modifications in payment terms; repayment schedules and collateral release.
  11. Consult with members regarding loan purpose, amount, and payment conditions.
  12. Process loan applications and provide recommendations to Senior Lending staff regarding the handling of other loan applications.
  13. Obtain credit evaluations as necessary.
  14. Finalize and process loan requests, gather information on collateral, and ensure signatures and witnesses on documents are secured and verified.
  15. Update member record files, including credit evaluations, and verify the accuracy of loan screens and documents.
  16. Review collateral insurance records on loans and request insurance coverage from members as needed.
  17. Notify vendors to establish the credit union's security interest on titled documents and request the discharge of security interest from holders as required.
  18. Disburse funds on approved loans.
  19. Document information in member files regarding approved or denied loan applications, extension agreements, release of security, and deferred payments.

20. Respond to telephone inquiries regarding loan information and the credit union's products and services.

21. Comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

22. Promote a positive image of the credit union during non-working hours.

23. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary to meet the credit union's goals and objectives.

  3. Exceptional service skills.
  4. Intermediate knowledge of credit union products, services, loan policies, and procedures.
  5. Strong sales and sales coaching capabilities.
  6. Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to credit union operations management.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Understanding of intermediate mathematics (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
  9. Availability to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.
  10. Willingness to attend special off-site sales events and credit union functions as needed.
  11. Outgoing personality, capable of soliciting new business and making outbound calls.
  12. Ability to collaborate effectively with others and follow directions.
  13. Able to work independently.
  14. Detail-oriented.
  15. Willingness to make underwriting decisions.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma is required for this position. This role also requires the individual to become a notary.

Employees must adhere to government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and The USA Patriot Act.
