POSITION OVERVIEW

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Exemplify a vibrant, top-tier service and sales environment within the branch and credit union.
  2. Guide, nurture, and develop front-line personnel.
  3. Maintain a robust sales culture throughout the credit union.
  4. Support the Branch Manager and Senior Management in daily operations.

Essential Qualifications: Must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm; possess exceptional service and leadership capabilities; have a strong understanding of First Community Credit Union's offerings; and exhibit solid lending and underwriting expertise.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Embody the mission, vision, and values of First Community Credit Union within the organization and the community.
  2. Provide guidance to teller staff to enhance their performance, foster their growth, and meet the credit union's objectives.
  3. Assist in branch services and operations as necessary to serve our members, including acting as teller backup when required.
  4. Instill a dynamic, world-class service and sales ethos that consistently seeks to enhance member service.
  5. Forge strong connections with both new and existing members, leading to sales, cross-sales, and referrals. Identify member needs and align offerings that support their financial aspirations and those of the credit union.
  6. Engage in proactive outreach to promote a sales culture within the credit union. Mentor and inspire front-line staff.
  7. Support the Branch Manager or Senior Management in daily operational tasks.
  8. Adhere to established lending policies and underwriting standards.
  9. Facilitate the opening of new accounts, including checking accounts, certificates, retirement accounts, and various club accounts.
  10. Advise members on loan issues; modifications in payment terms; repayment schedules, and collateral release.
  11. Consult with members regarding loan purpose, amount, and payment conditions.
  12. Process loan applications and provide recommendations to Senior Lending staff regarding the outcome of other loan applications.
  13. Gather credit information as necessary.
  14. Finalize and process loan requests, ensuring all collateral information is secured and signatures are verified.
  15. Update member records, including credit ratings, and ensure accuracy of loan documentation.
  16. Review collateral insurance records on loans and request necessary coverage from members.
  17. Notify vendors to establish the credit union's security interest on titled documents and request discharge of security interests as needed.
  18. Disburse funds on approved loans.
  19. Document information in member files regarding approved or declined loan applications, extension agreements, and payment deferrals.

20. Respond to telephone inquiries regarding loan information and the credit union's products and services.

21. Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.

22. Contribute to promoting a positive image of the credit union during non-working hours.

23. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to achieve the credit union's goals and objectives.

  6. Understands federal and state regulations related to credit union operations.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Possesses intermediate mathematical skills (calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
  9. Available to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
  10. Willing to attend special off-site sales events and credit union functions as required.
  11. Outgoing personality with the ability to solicit new business and make outbound calls.
  12. Collaborates well with others and follows directions.
  13. Able to work independently.
  14. Detail-oriented.
  15. Willing to make underwriting decisions.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma is required for this position. This role also requires the individual to become a notary.

Employees must adhere to government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and The USA Patriot Act.
