Job Overview

Position Type: On-site role, requiring presence in the office from Monday to Friday.

Role Summary: In this position, you will contribute to a thriving Orthopaedic practice by executing a range of HR-related functions, offering administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department and its personnel within Orthopaedic Solutions Management and its subdivisions. You will report directly to the Talent Acquisition/HR Supervisor and collaborate closely with the HR team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clarify and communicate human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Maintain and prepare employment records related to various events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, utilizing human resources management system software.
  • Stay informed about Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Generate employee reports in Paycom as needed.
  • Assist in managing employee benefit programs and workers' compensation plans.
  • Draft responses to unemployment claims.
  • Document all work-related injuries and provide follow-up on Workers' Compensation claims.
  • Safeguard employee confidentiality and protect operations by maintaining the confidentiality of human resource information.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, plans, and procedures established by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree and/or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice environment.
  • Understanding of HR-related laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Workers' Compensation injury reporting and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher.
  • Able to manage a high volume of human resources inquiries.
  • Sound decision-making abilities with a focus on compliance and employee welfare.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in an orthopaedic practice.
  • Familiarity with Paycom HRIS and ATS.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
