The Brown Palace Denver, a luxury hotel and spa, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Manager to join our team. With a rich history dating back to 1892, our hotel has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to lead our Business Travel and Group Sales efforts in the local market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in hotel sales, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Solicit new group sales accounts, entertain, and maintain relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, and room rental.
  • Produce innovative ideas to gain exposure to the local market and optimize top-line revenue for the hotel.
  • Host clients for site tours and familiarization trips, and participate in the Daily Business Review Process with DOS to generate the best revenue for the hotel.
  • Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from designated accounts, and respond to all inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of sales techniques with strong closing and negotiation skills.
  • 3+ years' experience in hotel/hospitality management with specific knowledge of Business Travel Transient and Group Sales.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Comfortable with hotel site inspections and solicitation calls, and possess a high level of computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Marriott Sales Systems CI/TY preferred.
