About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Bridges and Structural Engineering Manager to join our Transportation Bridges and Structures Team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of structural engineering professionals, providing mentoring and training for future leaders, and developing succession plans for key positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of structural engineering professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the success of the team.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute business development strategies, contributing to the growth of the region and the company.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate the necessary resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives, managing contract terms, tracking and managing costs and schedule, and implementing measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Leadership by Example: Demonstrate a commitment to internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies, fostering a culture of open communication and mutual respect.
Qualifications
  • Project Management Experience: Responsible for managing and delivering successful projects in our transportation business line.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels, as well as externally with clients, members of business and professional organizations, subcontractors, and other firms.
  • Leadership Skills: Motivated, energetic team player who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to thrive on collaboration with cross-functional teams and a client-focused environment across a broad range of project sectors.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field required. Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio or the ability to become licensed within 90 days of employment.
