Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Investigator to lead our research efforts in sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. As a key member of our Conservation & Science team, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and developing strategies to improve the sustainability of global fisheries and aquaculture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify knowledge gaps in the field of seafood sustainability
  • Develop and implement research projects to address these gaps, including field research, data analysis, and publication of scientific findings
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance our understanding of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and spokesperson for our organization on issues related to sustainable fisheries and aquaculture
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Marine Ecology, Marine Conservation, Fisheries, Aquaculture or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in conducting, reviewing, and publishing scientific research
  • 4+ years of experience in advising and managing employees and students engaged in marine ecology research
  • Experience with federal and international fisheries management
  • Proven track record of collaboration with scientists from academic, government, NGO, and other science institutions
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $91,200-$116,000 USD annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
