Position Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) client by meticulously reviewing and evaluating security vulnerability reports submitted by independent security researchers. Your primary responsibility will be to verify the authenticity and scope of the reported vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess each vulnerability for its severity and assign an appropriate risk score.
  • Act as a liaison between public researchers and DoD system owners.
  • Monitor and track the progress of report submissions.
  • Validate mitigation or remediation actions throughout the lifecycle of the reports.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or engineering.
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance tools, such as eMASS or ACAS.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with STIG requirements.
  • Certifications such as CEH, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GCIH, GICSP, PenTest+, or related credentials.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
