Your primary responsibility will be to validate the authenticity and scope of reported vulnerabilities, ensuring that each is accurately evaluated for severity and assigned an appropriate risk score.
This role serves as a vital link between public researchers and DoD system owners, where you will monitor and track the progress of report submissions and validate the effectiveness of mitigation or remediation efforts throughout the lifecycle of these reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and vet security vulnerability reports from independent researchers.
- Verify the validity and scope of reported vulnerabilities.
- Assess vulnerabilities for severity and assign risk scores.
- Act as a liaison between researchers and DoD system owners.
- Monitor progress on report submissions and validate remediation actions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or engineering.
- Familiarity with Information Assurance tools, such as eMASS or ACAS.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with STIG requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GCIH, GICSP, PenTest+, or similar.
Security Clearance:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Work Environment:
