Position Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) client by meticulously reviewing and evaluating security vulnerability reports submitted by independent security researchers. Your primary responsibility will be to authenticate the validity and scope of reported vulnerabilities, ensuring that each is assessed for severity and assigned an appropriate risk score.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between public researchers and DoD system owners.
  • Monitor and track the progress of report submissions.
  • Validate mitigation or remediation actions throughout the lifecycle of the reports.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or engineering.
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance tools, such as eMASS or ACAS.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with STIG requirements.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GCIH, GICSP, PenTest+, or similar.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
