Malware Threat Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Malware Threat Analyst to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Malware Threat Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and documenting malware as part of our cybersecurity lifecycle.

Your expertise in systems security research and trend identification of malicious software will be instrumental in this rapidly evolving field. You will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing complex malicious code using various tools such as disassemblers, debuggers, hex editors, unpackers, virtual machines, and network sniffers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze complex malicious code to identify malware capabilities and intent
  • Develop and maintain malware analysis techniques and tools
  • Conduct research on malicious software, vulnerabilities, and exploitation tactics
  • Lead the development of prototype application software to demonstrate vulnerability exploitation
  • Analyze malware to determine its capabilities, indicators, and origin
  • Utilize industry-standard malware and digital forensic analysis techniques to support intrusion investigations

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in dynamic or static analysis of malware
  • Experience with malware reverse engineering tools
  • Knowledge of common attacker methodologies and exploit techniques
  • Ability to reverse engineer binaries of various types
  • Scripting skills for automation tasks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of programming experience
  • Knowledge of Windows system programming
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • GREM certification

Clearance:

Applicants must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance.
