Job Description

The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Accounts Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies via phone and written correspondence.
  • Resolve first-line inquiries and escalate complex issues to management as needed.
  • Document all internal and external inquiries, including patient and third-party payer interactions.
  • Work closely with facility and internal departments to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the call routing system and patient accounting system.
Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Familiarity with customer service and 1-3 years of healthcare business office experience preferred.
