Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Insurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance markets, policies, and products, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, providing technical support and proposal management, auditing and endorsement management, account management and policy renewal, and collections and claims handling.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in commercial lines account management, a valid insurance producer license, and a BA/BS degree. They will also possess excellent listening and attention to detail, strong communication and organizational abilities, and a high sense of urgency.

Responsibilities
  • Assists clients in making coverage changes and informs them about coverage, exclusions, and exposures
  • Provides technical support to producers regarding coverage, proposals, and suspense items
  • Prepares proposals and applications, submits them to insureds and carriers, obtains signatures, and follows up for timely responses
  • Explains audit procedures to clients and reviews interim reports for credibility
  • Handles endorsements by processing information per agency procedure and updating the agency system for non-download carriers
  • Reviews accounts for opportunities to write personal lines business
  • Manages collections for agency-billed policies, verifies the legitimacy of late payments, and adjusts invoices or authorizes cancellations as necessary
  • Submits claims reported by insureds to carriers, sets up new claim files, and follows up as appropriate
Requirements
  • BA/BS preferred
  • Valid Insurance Producer License or obtain within 6 months
  • Commercial lines account management experience
  • In-depth understanding of insurance markets, policies, and products; shares insights with peers
