We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team at Vermont Mutual. As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling complex subrogation claims, negotiating settlements, and maintaining accountability for assigned claims.

About the Role

This is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $90,000 based on location and experience. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field, and three or more years of relevant claim technical experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct loss investigations on all assigned claims.
  • Negotiate the settlement of claims within authorized amounts.
  • Maintain accountability for all assigned claims until disposition is reached.
  • Recommend further action on claims exceeding authority limits.
  • Document all substantive activity on assigned claims.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of relevant claim technical experience.
  • Appropriate state adjuster's license(s) where required by law.
  • Sound knowledge of the technical aspects of property and/or casualty claims.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education.
