At Stantec, we're committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients and the communities we serve. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Sediment Remediation Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to lead our sediment remediation efforts in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex sediment remediation projects, including assessments, feasibility studies, remedial designs, and implementation.
  • Conduct environmental sampling programs, supervise subcontractors, and evaluate laboratory data to inform remedial design and implementation.
  • Develop conceptual site models, conduct feasibility and treatability studies, and implement innovative solutions to remediate contaminated sediment sites.
  • Engage with clients and regulatory agencies to communicate project progress, technical issues, and cleanup strategies.
  • Develop sediment remedial design plans, specifications, and construction contract documents.
  • Implement remedial actions, oversee construction, and ensure quality assurance and long-term monitoring programs.
  • Lead and manage multi-discipline teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts to expand our project and client base.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in sediment remediation, with a strong technical background in site investigation and remediation of contaminated sediments.
  • Computer proficiency in Office 365.
  • Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Preferred Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in Oregon and/or Washington, or the ability to obtain license within one year of accepting the offer.
  • Master's degree in environmental or civil engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher.
  • Drafting and/or geospatial design skills, including GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SMS.
