Job Title: Senior Hydraulics Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulics Project Engineer to join our Water and Natural Resources team in Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide technical excellence and thought leadership in the areas of bridge hydraulics scour countermeasure design, river mechanics, channel stability, sediment transport, and floodplain permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Conduct design calculations
  • Prepare construction documents in support of transportation projects
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Create design and permitting reports
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Prepare studies and master plans
  • Prepare technical approaches/scope, schedule, and budgets for proposals
  • Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team members
  • Mentor and evaluate team members' work
  • Perform construction engineering and observation
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources or Hydraulic Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of Project Engineering experience in hydraulic engineering or related field
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Adept with the application of water resources models such as HEC-RAS and SRH2D
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines in a multi-discipline environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
