Key Responsibilities:
The Women's Philanthropy Director plays a pivotal role within the Campaign team, focusing on relationship building with donors and lay leaders to further Federation's mission. This position requires a dynamic team player and seasoned fundraiser with a proven ability to cultivate relationships, develop a donor pipeline, and secure contributions, including significant gifts.

  • Oversee the Women's Philanthropy team, including an Assistant Director, ensuring that both individual and team objectives are met through ongoing evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the volunteer President of Women's Philanthropy and lay leadership to initiate and enhance solicitation efforts and fundraising activities.
  • Implement a comprehensive campaign strategy within the broader community campaign, coordinating with senior leadership.
  • Strategically manage Women's Philanthropy campaign activities, identifying opportunities for growth and enhancement.
  • Personally engage with a significant portfolio of donors and prospects, securing contributions through direct solicitations.
  • Facilitate board processes, including nominations and meetings, ensuring board members feel connected to the Women's Philanthropy initiative.
  • Initiate endowment discussions to create planned giving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to enhance philanthropic engagement and leadership development.
  • Utilize creativity and initiative to develop innovative fundraising methods.
  • Design outreach programs targeting specific groups, ensuring appropriate follow-up with participants.
  • Represent Women's Philanthropy at various events as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5-8 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making abilities and comfort with analytics.
  • Proven skills in donor relations and engagement strategy development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong supervisory capabilities.
  • Experience managing volunteer operations and committees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and openness to new technologies.
  • Familiarity with the Jewish community and its dynamics.
  • A creative mindset with a visionary approach.
