Position Overview:

The Healthcare Business Office Associate plays a crucial role in upholding the financial policies of the organization while assisting with accounts receivable and resident funds management. This position requires both teamwork and leadership skills to ensure effective service delivery and to celebrate team achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily deposits to the facility's bank account.
  • Review monthly financial statements for accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the Collection Blitz Log and Medicaid Pending Log on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare adjustments with necessary documentation for approval.
  • Oversee monthly accounts receivable tasks.
  • Record ancillary services.
  • Document daily census activities.
  • Manage daily cash postings as applicable.
  • Keep an accurate log of bed hold utilization.
  • Inform residents and responsible parties about bed hold status and remaining days.
  • Assist in completing insurance documentation as required.
  • Provide information and support to residents and their families.
  • Facilitate outbound mailings and ensure adequate postage.
  • Order and manage office supplies for the facility.
  • Maintain resident financial accounts.
  • Participate in training and educational programs to enhance service quality.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and quality improvement standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience and management training are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, collections, and financial management systems.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills with team members, residents, and families.
  • Willingness to explore and implement new methods and practices.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
