Production Team Leader

Our Operations team is crucial in delivering the innovative and life-saving products we provide to our customers. We rely on our team members to actively engage in the continuous improvement of our operations while we offer growth and development opportunities to enhance their skills and careers. We have an opening for a Production Team Leader in our LairdTM division. LairdTM is a leading global supplier of enabling materials for applications such as consumer electronic devices, flat-panel displays, and telecommunications. LairdTM serves the integrated circuit fabrication industry with a wide range of technologies utilized by nearly all top semiconductor manufacturers.

This is a 2nd shift position

Your key responsibilities:

  • Embody and exemplify DuPont Core Values.
  • Plan shift activities and resources to optimize performance in alignment with production objectives; Communicate shift performance (safety, production, quality, etc.) goals, metrics, and outcomes to team members; Foster an understanding of the team's contribution to the shift/site/business objectives.
  • Operate with Excellence by engaging team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, eliminate waste, remove barriers, and cultivate a sense of ownership and pride.
  • Coach and hold team members accountable for safety, behavior, performance, and quality.
  • Develop and provide performance feedback to team members to enhance capabilities, align on expectations, and improve team effectiveness.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop talent to meet current and future capabilities; Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with leaders to stay informed of business strategies and needs.
  • Effectively communicate and implement site directions and messages to ensure clear work alignment.
  • Document and complete administrative requirements promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure work is completed according to the published schedule.
  • Facilitate team processes, including problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Lead or participate in EHS & Quality investigations and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and adjust controllable costs for the shift (i.e., overtime, operating supplies).
  • Complete Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line walks.
  • Initiate awards and recognition for individuals and/or teams, celebrating area accomplishments.
  • Organize and manage staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs.
  • Address personnel issues on shift effectively.
  • Provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, regularly; Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar environment.
  • People leadership experience preferred.
  • Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process) experience preferred.
  • Proficient with current computer applications and skills.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
