Position Overview
Reporting to the Multi-Site Manager, the Production Operations Leader will be stationed in Cleveland and will oversee all production activities within the facility. This role requires collaboration with management and production teams to ensure that daily operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively, meeting or surpassing customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing operational strategies aligned with company policies, objectives, and goals.
- Integrate established processes and leadership execution in Safety, Health, and Environmental areas, maintaining the company's commitment to safety and community welfare.
- Achieve operational excellence by optimizing capacity, cost-effectiveness, and customer value.
- Ensure operational plans meet targeted cost and efficiency metrics to maximize business unit value.
- Optimize capital investments to sustain operations, enhance SH&E value, and support product growth.
- Implement quality and process excellence plans to ensure consistent quality assurance and procedural controls.
- Establish comprehensive people development and succession plans.
- Promote employee engagement initiatives to boost workforce satisfaction.
- Manage productivity and efficiency through metrics and continuous improvement protocols.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation within departments.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance activities.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules to meet product demand.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through change management and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Site Safety and ISO9001 standards.
- Coach and develop team members to achieve business objectives and site vision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record in developing and executing manufacturing strategies that drive cost reductions and productivity improvements.
- Familiarity with computer systems, inventory management, quality assurance systems, OSHA & EPA regulations, and ERP systems.
- Experience with P&L responsibilities.
- Background in the Chemical Manufacturing sector.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Union environment.
- Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing.
- More than 10 years of supervisory or management experience.
